Abstract
The Rohingya crisis in Myanmar has been described as a potential genocide, with widespread human rights violations against the Muslim minority group. This paper examines the legal definition of genocide, evidence that Myanmar's actions may constitute genocide, and the complex geopolitical factors hindering resolution, including the interests of regional powers like China and India. It also explores the national security implications for Bangladesh of hosting over 1 million Rohingya refugees. Despite repatriation attempts, the stateless status of the Rohingya remains a core issue fueling the crisis.
