Abstract
This paper critically examines the accelerating disintegration of the liberal global order and the emergence of fragmented, regionally anchored, and technologically mediated governance alternatives. Anchored in a triangulated theoretical framework that combines world-systems theory, realist multipolarity, and Asian-origin governance paradigms such as Tianxia diplomacy and Belt-and-Road developmentalism, the study employs qualitative comparative analysis of institutional documents, treaties, and datasets (2010–2025). The findings reveal that digital colonialism, infrastructural dependence, and fiscal extraction continue to reproduce structural inequalities; even as multipolar initiatives attempt to decentralize authority. The paper concludes by proposing a glocalized, polyarchic model for adaptive global governance in an era of deglobalization.
