Abstract
The paper examines the emerging dynamics of UK-Bangladesh relations in the post-Brexit period. Rather than focusing on conventional diplomacy, we argue that the relationship between the United Kingdom and Bangladesh is getting stronger in the post-Brexit era, as the two countries have been trying to diversify their relations by concentrating on a variety of issues, including
defense and strategic cooperation, economic engagement, carbon resilience
partnerships, cross-cultural interaction, and the Rohingya crisis. First, the paper analyzes both historical contexts and the British-Bangladeshi diaspora in the United Kingdom, as both factors are important in the relationship. The paper analyzes UK-Bangladesh relations using the theoretical framework of
neoclassical realism. Moreover, the changing geopolitical dynamics in the Asia Pacific region and how they have increased Bangladesh's significance for the UK are thoroughly scrutinized. Finally, the paper briefly analyzes the future prospects of the UK-Bangladesh relations. Noteworthy, a qualitative research analysis is utilized to interpret the whole paper.
